What a week! Part 2

On Tuesday, we met up with my mom, brothers and sisters and drove to Athens, Texas. If you haven't been there, the hot spots are Applebees and Wal-Mart. The drive wasn't too bad. When we arrived, we went to Wal-Mart because you simply can't have a road trip without stopping at a Wal-Mart. After picking up the essentials, we went to the park.

Hey, hey we're the monkeys

Weeee!
After going to the park we met up with J's (my sisters boyfriend) family for dinner. Then it was off to Arlington. We got into the hotel at about 9:00 pm and called it an early night.
Wednesday we headed to Six Flags. The weather was pretty good and the crowds weren't too bad either. I had a great time introducing M and J.T. to roller coasters. They were both so brave. Their first coaster was the Titan. It is massive. Not only did they ride it, but we waited extra for the front car. The look on J.T.'s face was priceless. He's only 8, but he did great.

Everyone had a great time. L was in heaven being with her Nana, aunts and uncles. I think the final count was that they rode the log ride 5 times and tea cups at least 3 times. The kids all slept the whole way home and we arrived around midnight.
Thursday I went to work and then did a massive shopping trip. Things were getting a bit desperate around here. We were halfway through our last roll of toilet paper and G had been out of shampoo for over a week. Even a simple trip to Wal-Mart was eventful this week. On the way in there was a girl asking for security to escort her to her car because some men had followed her to the store and were waiting in the parking lot for her. SCARY!!! At least she was smart enough to ask for help.
Then, on the way out, a lady started screaming at the top of her lungs, "help me". Everyone in the store came to a stop and then started running to her. She had kids with her and we thought maybe one was hurt or missing. When she finally calmed down a little bit, she said she was having a panic attack because she couldn't find her husband. Now don't get me wrong, I am not intending to make fun of this women, but if you can't find your husband a) check the electronics department or b) have him paged. You better believe it I would freak out and cause mass hysteria if my kiddo were missing or needed help, but a missing husband? I'm not sure the lady was all there. Her poor kids were scared to death. The weirdest part of all was this guy just casually walks up to her out of no where, put his arm around her and they strolled on out of the store. STRANGE! Needless to say, I will not be returning to Super Weird-Mart late at night by myself...ever.
