House Update

So here is the latest on the house. It's really confusing.

- We put in an offer was $16, 900 less than it was listed for on Saturday, May 19th.
- All offers had to be in by Tuesday, May 22nd.
- We found out Friday, May 25th that the asset manager from the bank went on vacation and didn't get around to deciding on an offer before she left. She would be back Friday, June 1st.
- Wednesday, May 30th, we got a call that our offer was met with a counter offer for $13, 900 more than our original offer.
- We countered with, "no thanks, we will stay with our original offer".
- Thursday, May 31st, a blanket email was sent out with the listing price reduced to $12, 500 more than our original offer. Now why in the world they changed the listing price to an amount lower than the counter offer they had given us just ONE day earlier is still a mystery to me. Maybe they don't like us.
- Today, June 1st, we found out that our original offer was not accepted and they were opening the house back up for offers again. We went ahead and place another offer on it for $5,000 more than our original offer. That puts us at the maximum we feel comfortable with for this particular house, so it's back to the wait game. If we don't get it for this offer, we will bow out.
