Well, it's been quite a week. We officially put our house on the market last Wednesday. In the first three days we had ten showings and one offer. We decided that we are going to have to put a new roof on the current house to sell it. We are waiting to see what insurance will cover on it, but are going to have to do it one way or another. We have spent more time out of the house than in it. L cries and begs us to just go home. She tells us she just wants to be at our house. She is very excited about the new house and tells everyone she comes across about it. So far, she has done very well with the changes, showings and having some of her stuff in storage. I know that it has to be very confusing for her. You can see the listing at www.har.com and the MLS # is 2440979.
We have been busy getting quotes and picking out colors for flooring and paint. It's a lot of fun, but very overwhelming. There are way too many choices and I am horrible at seeing the big picture.
I guess at this point we are waiting to see if any of the people interested come back after the new roof. The complaints we've had have centered around the roof and not having a fence.
I am sure that God has his hand in all of this and am trying hard to leave it all in his hands. It is so hard when I want to know the timing and outcome and I want to know it now. I guess this is just another lesson in patience.
