So, here's the low down from the past few days. I've been working a lot. Work has been crazy for G. L has been more bratty than she has EVER been. I know she is stressed about the move, sleep deprived, not sleeping well, female, etc., but I mean, she has been really bad. I get off work last night, run to the bank to get the cashier's check for closing today, pick up G, meet our agent at the new house for the final walk through and come home at about 7:30. G goes out to "fix" the faucet on the side of our house (that is totally rusted out and has leaked for a while). I guess while using pliers to tighten the spinning part you turn the hose on and off with it breaks and starts leaking everywhere. He shuts off the main and comes in freaking out. We try to get the broken parts off. Go track down some pipe wrenches. Get the parts off. Go get new parts and decided to eat since we are now pushing 9:00 and L still hasn't eaten. Meet Micah and Lisa for dinner. L goes home with them to spend the night. We go on to Wal-Mart to pick a few last minute things up for her party. Go home. Successfully reattach the new pieces. Turn the water on and a new leak starts lower down the pipe. This ones a tough one though and will have to be cut out. Between that and the fact that this piece is attached to the actual water main (and if we break that we have to call the MUD and have the water totally shut off) we decide to abandon this project for the night.
So this leaves us with no water (toilets, showers, etc., NONE) and we decide that since we close on the new house the next morning, we better be able to look presentable. So we join L over at Micah and Lisa's house for the night. You should have seen the look on her face. We definitely crashed her party. We came in, said goodnight and went straight upstairs to bed. This morning we came home to let the dog out and update the blog. Okay, so not really to update, but I figured if G had to do some work, so would I.
Man, I sure hope that closing goes smoothly!
