So I am going to start with this week. If I am able to backtrack through the past few months, great! If not, then oh well.
Monday, L and I met my friend Natalie for lunch. Monday night, I felt horrible and went to bed by 9:00. Today, L went to Mother's Day Out. She usually attends one day a week, but today was her class Christmas party and they needed her there to practice for their Christmas program. We picked her up this afternoon for my 20 week ultrasound.
About the baby - Everything is going great. This baby is about as cooperative as L was. She wiggled the whole time they were trying to get measurements. Half of the measurements they needed, the didn't get. Everything they did see looked good and I go back in January to see if we can get the remainder of them. We didn't get any cute profile pictures or cute little toes. No proof that it's a girl. No, not our children. Here are the only shots we got. With L, the only thing we saw for 8 months was the back of her head and her rear end. I was honestly scared to meet her.

I know the pictures are not very good. The first one is of her arms that she flung in front of her face as the OBGYN tried to get a shot of her face. She looked like a boxer. The second I would like for you to guess what it is. Notice where the arrow is pointing. I'll post tomorrow (or in three weeks) with the real answer.
The baby did look good though. Measured exactly where we thought she should be. She is just VERY active and does NOT like to be disturbed. Sounds like another little girl I know.
We did get to see that her spine is perfectly formed, her kidneys looked good, her bladder looked good, she has 5 fingers on one hand, she does not have clubbed feet and her brain showed no cysts. So that was good. We did not get to see all of the fingers on her other hand, all four ventricles of her heart, her toes or her female parts.
The doctor had no trouble finding her body, but could not find her feet. Her head is down towards my right hip and one of her feet wound up being up near my left ribs. I knew I had been feeling some kicks there, but didn't really think she could stretch that far. Neither did the doctor. But there she was, with her long leg stretched out and the other one crossed over it, pointing down towards my left hip. I have the weirdest children.
I do feel kicks everyday now. She is very active late at night, when I'm winding down. L keeps asking her, "Baby, when are you going to kick so I can feel it with my hand?". I'm sure it will be soon.
I have started having a lot of trouble with my hips the past couple of months and the doctor thinks it is my sciatic nerve. I start physical therapy on Friday and will be going 3 days a week to see if that helps. I guess that's about all the baby news for now.
I better get to bed. L has school tomorrow and that makes for another early morning.

Glad to have you back in the blogging world. Try not to stay a way so long. It looks like she's giving the finger! Is your baby givin' us the finger? : )
Hehe. Bad baby, that's not nice. Glad everything looks good (well, except for that attitude of course).
She looks like...hmmm? The spittin' image of Grandpa Rich!!
