Baby Cakes - 32 weeks

I know you guys aren't going to believe this, but I have the cruise post done. I am waiting on my husband to scan the rest of the professional photos and I will then post it. It is REALLY long though.

I went to the doctor for a check up today. I will be 32 weeks on Friday. Six weeks left, kinda scary. Things are going well. I've had some Braxton-Hicks preterm contraction, things going on and it can be pretty painful. I am still not sure if they are real contractions or not since I never had any with Sweet Pea. Anyway, back to today. We were scheduled to have our 3D ultrasound and I was very excited. In typical, my children form, Baby Cakes was not going to cooperate. She is already head down and had a huge wad of umbilical cord shoved in front of her face. Nice! She also had her sweet little hands folded in front of her face, like she was praying (or more realistically begging for food). We did get a little bit of a peek at her face, just not as much as we were hoping for. It is apparent that she is going to look a whole lot like her big sister.

Her growth is good and the doctor estimated she is weighing 4 pounds, which puts her at the 52nd percentile. This was good to hear since 32 weeks into this pregnancy I still haven't gained a single pound. Fat people are weird like that, I guess. Believe me I have tried to gain, especially since buying out every Girl Scout cookie stand I see. Oh well. I'm sure it will catch up to me soon. My fluid level looked good and everything is set for April 25th. Speaking of, they scheduled my C-Section for 7:00 am. Yikes! I hope this kiddo doesn't get the idea that we are morning people or something. I mean I guess I'll show up, but I would hate to send the wrong signal. Anyway, enough rambling, on with the photos.

This first one is the surprise shot we got when I had my kidney ultrasound done.

Sweet baby face

Here is a baby picture of Sweet Pea so you can see the similarities. Definitely the same forehead, chin, cheeks and nose, if you ask me.

Baby Sweet Pea

All of these pictures were from the 3D ultrasound today. You can see her forehead, eyelids, nose and some cheek. The rest of her face is covered by the cord. The white lines beneath her nose are her fingers.

I guess that is about all in the baby department. I have totally begun my nesting process and have organized, cleaned, weeded, bought new furniture, etc. My poor husband. He's a good man to put up with me. Hopefully my house will look nice soon!
