We've been busy with a whole lot of nothing around here. Sweet Pea has been a little off her game lately and fussing a lot. She threw a big fit while I was brushing her teeth the other night. Come to find out, she had a whole patch of cold sores inside her upper lip. I finally had to take her to the doctor because it got to the point she wasn't eating or drinking much of anything. We got some medicine and she is just finally feeling a little better this week. It is horrible to watch a child want to eat and not be able to. Even worse was when she would try to smile, cover her mouth and wind up wailing. The only thing worse than that is having to have your husband pin your 3 year old to the bed, while you pinch her nose shut until she opens her mouth, so that you can apply medicine, three times a day. It is HORRIBLE. I am SO glad she is on the mend.
I had a check up last week and the doctor couldn't get a good reading of Baby Cakes heart rate because she had the hiccups. She gets them at least once a day, so I wasn't too surprised. I mentioned to the doc that she hadn't been very active lately and she hooked me up on a Non-Stress test to monitor her heart for 20 minutes. 20 minutes later we had a good reading (130 bpm), but it was what she called "non-responsive". I guess they like to see some fluctuation in that 20 minutes, some ups, some downs. Hers looked like someone drew a line across the 130 mark with a ruler. So we then had an ultrasound done. Everything looked okay. My fluid wasn't abundant, but wasn't too low either. I think it was at a 9 and it needs to stay above a 7. At this point in my pregnancy with Sweet Pea, it was below a 5, hence the C-Section 5 weeks early. We even got to see a profile (finally) and you could see her ribs move up and down, as she was practicing her breathing.
This weekend, she moved non-stop. All day, all night. As of today, I know why. She has definitely dropped. I think she's riding about 3 inches lower than before. Just another reminder she is coming soon. I have 3 and a half weeks to go at this point. WOW! Today she has settled down again. I guess she is comfy once again and apparently pretty lazy.
I guess the only other exciting thing around here is that we got the office almost completely cleaned out. It became the dump room during the move. It is nice to have it a little cleaner. It was my last big "to do" on my nesting list. The house is fairly clean, the nursery is ready (or as ready as it's going to be), the car has been detailed and we are ready!

Woohoo! Three weeks? That's just insane! We can't wait to meet her!
I'm sorry Sweetpea is hurting so much but glad she's doing better. We've also had our share of holding a kid down this week to administer medicine.
Can't wait to see ya'll later this week. We've got lots of catching up to do. And I do mean lots. Thanks again for everything. You guys are lifesavers!
I can't believe you are this close to delivering your little girl! Of course, it has seemed to go FAST for me -- not so much for you, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to pictures on your blog!
