Home, Sweet Home

Well, we are finally home. We got discharged Sunday Monday, I think. It kind of depends on who you ask. See the doctor apparently told the on call doctor that I was ready to be discharged on Sunday; he apparently heard that I had been discharged already (don't ask why you would call the on call to tell them a patient was discharged, but that's another story). So I didn't see a doctor at all Sunday or Monday until I insisted they paged mine at 3:30 pm. I'm starting to take this personally. I will post about the whole delivery and hospital experience later, but everything other than leaving did go fine. I thought I would post a few cuter, cleaner pictures from yesterday until I have time to update later.
*I think we have decided the baby is much more of a "Peanut" than a "Baby Cakes". Sorry for the change!

All clean and ready to go

Loving on the baby

What's the hold up?

Best friends already

Um, who am I?

Sweet Pea, with her list, giving the baby the tour of the house
We got home around 5:00 and got settled in. Daddy went to pick up some dinner and get prescriptions filled, while I stayed with the girls and unpacked. We ate dinner and had some down time. Late last night, Micah flew in from Sweden. He had to leave on a business trip, last minute, last week and hadn't gotten to meet Peanut yet. He and Lisa stopped by for a few minutes to meet her, before we all called it a night.

Peanut and Uncle Micah
The night went very smoothly. I had a little bit more pain than I expected and some really weird dreams. I think it was mostly because I was laying flat, unlike the hospital bed, and on my side, instead of my back for the first time in a while. Oh well. We put Sweet Pea to bed and she slept fine until 10:00 this morning. I fed Peanut at 12:30 before heading to bed myself. She stayed in her bassinet all night, eating once at 4:30 and then waking up again at 9:00. We are SO BLESSED!!!
My sleeping beauties
Thanks for all the prayers, emails, calls and visits the last few days. We are so blessed to have great friends and family!!!

Hey, I must've been psychic on the name thing. I called her a little peanut on my blog post on Friday. I think it's a very fitting name.

Sounds like you indeed have been twice blessed with sleepy children. I'm glad she's sleeping so well for you. That's awesome.

Yes, I had more pain with my second c-section as well. I hope lil peanut continues to be a good sleeper. Eli still has his days and nights mixed up. We need to get together soon so all four of our babies can play! ~Jes
