Our Big Spender

On the 11th, Sweet Pea woke up from her nap and came wondering in to the media room with two piggy banks in her arms. She plopped them down on the table and began wildly shaking money out of them. I asked what she was doing and she replied, "Seeing if I have enough to buy a bicycle". Big dreams, little girl. I told her we could count the money and see. A few minutes later she was at Wal-Mart buying herself a big girl bike. She spent almost all of her money, but paid for it all by herself. I guess next time I won't question it.

Ready to shop

Found the perfect one

Checking out

Time to pay up

Her Pops lets her get a handful of change whenever we go over to their house to visit. I guess it really added up over the past year. I think she had a total of $75 dollars in there.

I still cannot believe the girl bought her own bike! You think she could teach a class on how to save your money? I'd be there.

I love this post...Leah is something else! I love how grown up she always seems--so ready for that baby sister :) We can't wait to meet baby Kate--you're in our prayers this week as you get ready.

That is the cutest story about Sweet Pea and her new bike purchase.

I think that all of us out here in Bloggerville are praying for you and are anxious to hear about Baby Cakes.

Thinking of you and praying,

What a great story! And having the photos to accompany your narrative will make it a story she can tell, re-tell and remember forever.

Lillie Beth has the same bike! The Easter bunny brought it! How is she going to follow that up next year? The girls will have to ride together!
