On The Go

We have been SO busy lately. I feel like all we are doing is running from sun up to sun down. Thursday I had a baby shower to attend, down near NASA. Since the shower started at 7:00 pm, I knew traffic would be a nightmare. My Mom and the girls went with me and instead of being stuck in the middle of it, we went down to Kemah for the afternoon. We really didn't do much. We walked around a few shops, ate dinner at the Aquarium and then headed to the shower. The shower was for a dear friend of mine, Amanda, who lives in Washington now. It was so good to see her and I only wish we could have had longer to visit! We got home around 11:00 pm. We were all exhausted, but I didn't get much sleep that night.

Friday the girls and I headed up to the hospital to visit my cousin and her new baby girl, Abby. She was born Wednesday and is just as cute as can be. Congrats Steve and Julie! Being the scatter brained person I have become, I forgot my camera. I will get pictures soon though. After that we went to the other floor to say hi to Lisa. We also ran into my doctor and a friend from church. Next thing you know, it was 2:00 pm and Sweet Pea and I hadn't eaten anything all day. We ran down to the hospital cafeteria and had a sandwich, before heading over to preregister for my surgery. By the time we left, it felt like we had been there all day. Friday night we went to Gary and Claudia's house for dinner and a game of electronic Monopoly. We had a great time.

Saturday we got some things done around the house, ran a few errands and went to Micah and Lisa's for dinner. It was nice to have slighly less to do, but it still wasn't enough to fully re coop.

Sunday we went to church with Daddy's parents and then back to their house for lunch. After lunch we visited for quite a while. By the time we made it home for nap, it was after 4:00 pm. We all went down for naps and woke up 2 hours later. We then made PB&J sandwiches and headed to the fountains with Chris, Kelsey, Micah and Lisa to let the kiddos play. By the time we got home Sweet Pea, Mommy and Peanut were beat!

Then this morning we were up and out of the house by 8:45 am, which is VERY rare for us. We met up at JW Tumbles for a playgroup with the preschoolers from our church. The kids had a good time playing and we then went to McDonald's and let them run off some more energy. We have several play dates set this summer that we are really looking forward to. It's great for the kids and the mommies. After lunch, the girls and I ran by the YMCA to look into getting a membership. When we got home, I got the girls to bed and started cleaning. I haven't done a lot of cleaning since my C-Section and figured I better get back on the ball.

Tomorrow I have an outpatient surgery early in the morning. It should be a quick procedure and I'm hoping I'll be home by lunch time. We shall see! I am not looking forward to being put under or any of the surgery stuff, but am longing for a little recovery down time!
