3 Months Old

Today Peanut is 3 months old.

At 3 months you:
(p.s. I hate when blogger won't let you space right)

- Are a very happy baby

- Seem to be doing very well on your reflux medicine

- Usually only cry when you are tired. When you are tired and want to nurse to go to sleep you have a distinct cry that sounds like you are saying "night night"

- Are pretty clear with what you want and have very different cries for being hungry, tired, poopy or just wanting to nurse to sleep

- Have an occasional very fussy day

- You weigh 12 pounds, 1.5 ounces (75th percentile) at 3 1/2 months

- Are 23 1/4 inches long (50th percentile) at 3 1/2 months

- Have a head circumfrence of 16 inches (75th percentile) at 3 1/2 months

- Are starting to wear 3 to 6 month clothes

- Are in size 1 shoes

- Wear size 2 diapers

- Love to blow bubbles and are VERY slobbery

- Are getting very long, thick eye lashes, like your sister

- Have very pretty bluish grey eyes. I think they are trying to turn green.

- Are holding your head up very well
- Enjoy sitting and standing up with a little help
- Have yet to roll over
- Often scoot around on your tummy
- Pivot on your tummy like the hands of a clock
- Enjoy playing on your tummy and back
- Love to talk to anyone who will talk to you

- Are starting to figure out your voice, but often startle yourself with the noises you make

- Are starting to sound more mature and less like a newborn
- Will often work for minutes, manipulating your tongue, trying to mimic us only to get a small squawk out
- Have yet to make it through a church service
- Really enjoy being talked to and looked at

- Are getting cuter everyday

- Must be a pretty good split of genes between mom and dad, although I think mom may be winning for the moment

- Are growing lots of hair. Your bald spots on top of your head have finally filled back in

- Have discovered your hands

- Still want nothing to do with a pacifier, but will spend the longest time trying to get your fingers in your mouth.
- Suck on your knuckles and fist
- Have gotten pretty good at falling asleep on your own
- Absolutely love baths, showers and swimming. You would be happy to live in the water. When in the bath, you love to swim, kicking and hitting with all you can.

- Are a little chunk

- Have a tiny head and tiny feet. Not so tiny anywhere else.

- Love to eat, but only do so 5 to 8 times a day

- Have yet to have anything other than breast milk

- Are an efficient nurser. You waste no time taking care of business.

- Get very excited and make a little grunting sound when you know you are about to get fed

- Know what the word "eat" means and get impatient if we say it and don't back it up

- Sleep from 10:30 or 11:00 pm to 9:45 am straight

- Take 2 long naps and a few short ones during the day

- Are still sleeping in the bassinet, but will probably move to your crib this week

- Love to be outside, swing and go for walks in your stroller

- Enjoy your play mat, bouncy seat and most recently Baby Einstein videos

- Are not fond of your car seat or the bumbo

- Are starting to like the Baby Bjorn

- Adore your big sister and will soon want to follow in her every footstep

- Have Mommy and Daddy wrapped around your little finger

We love you, kiddo!

Wow. Three months already! I absolutely love the roly poly thighs and double chin. Much different from my string bean baby.
