I know that I may be slightly biased, but I do think that Sweet Pea wins this award, hands down. She loves her baby sister so much and has been such a good big sister. She is always willing to help, loves to talk with Peanut and is so incredibly patient with her. After being the center of attention everywhere she went for 3 years, she has handled this adjustment so well. She never gets upset when Daddy or I (or Aunt Lisa) can't do something with or for her because of the babies. She has never acted out towards her and has really never even seemed jealous. She has done so well. There was a night that we were on our way home very late. It was close to 11:30 pm and we were all tired. Peanut screamed for the entire half hour. At one point, close to our house, Sweet Pea finally lost it and yelled, "Stop crying!". She never did anything else and quite honestly I had been thinking about yelling the same thing myself.
Today, while Sweet Pea was down for a nap, Daddy walked past the pictures on our wall with Peanut. He stopped in front of Sweet Pea's picture while we talked for a minute. When Peanut saw her big sister's picture she immediately grinned a huge gummy grin and started talking to it. It was precious. It is very apparent she loves her big sister.
I can't wait to watch their relationship bloom in the years to come. May they always be this sweet!
