Here are some random facts/stories about Sweet Pea from lately, mostly just for my own journal.
- On Halloween, Sweet Pea dumped out her bucket of trick or treat goodies all over the floor. She had a lot of fun going through them to see what she scored. Us adults had been talking politics and her Aunt Lisa took most of her candy away and divided it up amongst the babies. When Sweet Pea fussed about it, Lisa simply explained that this is what Obama wanted to do for her. It didn't matter that she went door to door in high heels, ringing door bells, saying trick or treat and thank you for the last hour, everyone got an equal share. We all laughed and Sweet Pea gather her candy back. Fast forward to November 5th, the day after Election Day. Sweet Pea woke up and was very curious who had won the election. When we told her that we had been defeated and Obama won she asked, "Do I still get to eat my candy?".
- For the last 6 months Sweat Pea has been able to write her name, in all caps, without help.
- She has started using phrases like, "You're not going to like this but..." and "I know this is frustrating, but...".
- For her Christmas list this year, she has been using all the tricks she learned from helping us register for the baby. She will see something on the shelf or on tv and make a clicking noise, while raising her hand at it, scanning it for her "registry".
