Day 6 - EPCOT World Showcase

This morning Daddy-O and the girls went to explore around the hotel while Mommy was getting ready. The hotel is decorated in over sized memorabilia from different Disney movies. There is a Love Bug sections, a Toy Story section, a 101 Dalmatians section, a Mighty Ducks section and a Fantasia section. Everything down to the pools follow the theme and it is really neat to see.

Once we were all ready for the day we headed over to EPCOT to see the World Showcase. It is basically a walk around the world, giving a glimpse of several different cultures. Each different country has food, shopping and shows, as well as structures that give you a taste of being there. It is really neat.

We found Chip and Dale

Disney started a neat tradition in 2000 with pin trading. You can buy a lanyard that you display your pins on and can trade with employees and guests throughout the parks. The employees have to let you trade and are even so kind to let the kids pick which ever one they want. Several employees throughout the trip gave Sweet Pea pins even though she wasn't ready to part with hers. She has enjoyed this tradition and I am sure it will be fun to take her pin collections back with her kids someday.

We had reservations for a princess lunch in Norway so we headed that way pretty fast. We had a few minutes to spare before we could check in so we rode a Viking boat through a Norwegian land and even saw the trolls.

We then went to our royal banquet at Akershus. We had a wonderful, traditional Norwegian meal and met several more of the princesses. Sweet Pea was enamored with them, Peanut was enamored with the food.

Since we scheduled our trip during the off-season, there were a lot of renovations going on. The show schedules weren't quite as busy either. It was a beautiful day out and we did enjoy the walk and all of the sights and sounds. If you do make it to EPCOT, I highly recommend the Chinese acrobat show. Those children are amazing.

Another amazing Chinese building
We had beautiful blue skies and a nice breeze all day long. It was gorgeous. I put the girls in their jeans and pink shirts and could not believe how old Peanut looked.

So grown up
We even found Mulan and Moo Shu
Leaving China, the girls both fell asleep and slept most of the way around the world.

In Morocco Daddy-O found a fez

And the girls stopped to make a call from the UK
Also in the UK was a light pole that had a stone base. Both of the girls thought this was the greatest thing and had a wonderful time climbing on it. With the pretty weather and their smiling faces, I couldn't help but take a lot of pictures.

In Canada
We had planned on staying around for the night show, Illuminations, but it quickly got cold and the girls faded out. We ate dinner in Mexico and then let Sweet Pea ride Test Track two more times before calling it a night. We weren't horribly upset about missing Illuminations since we had seen it before, but if you haven't, it is a must see. It is even worth busing over from another park for. All in all it was a very pleasant, slower paced day.
