I guess the holiday is over???

Okay, so what happened to Thanksgiving break? What happened to 2006, for that matter? Things here are busy as ever. It just never seems to slow down. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had our annual Thanksgiving Eve Party on Wednesday(I think we finally got L in bed about 2 am), Thursday we went to G's parent's house and then to see the movie, Happy Feet, and spent Friday with the Quinn's. It was all so much fun, but it just went by so quickly. Since my last post we decorated the house for Christmas. L is loving this time of year. She wants to hear and sing Christmas carols all day long, she wears a Santa cap and carries a Santa doggy and is very proud of her tree and lights. We were at the mall the other day and thought we would go see Santa from a distance. L is terrified of him or anyone in costume, so we thought we would take it slow. He was great! He came over to her and talked with her and sang her a song. Then he asked what she wanted for Christmas. Her response? "A baby sister", of course! Santa's response? "How about a Dora doll?". He was awesome. We will go back in a few days and try for a picture. Maybe this year Leah can sit on his lap instead of G. Also, here is something I've been meaning to post, but keep forgetting to. L has started saying the prayer for dinner every night. She repeats the last word of every sentence I say, but it's a start. After the amen she always says, "God's nice" in the sweetest, little voice. You know He is smiling at that! Today I took L to her pediatrician. The last few weeks we noticed a bump on her left eyelid. It has continued to grow (doubled in size in 2 weeks) and just worried me. The doctor said it is a tumor and that she will have to have it removed. The sooner, the better. She said they are usually not malignant, but at the rate it's growing, we don't want it to effect her vision or anything. So this will be the third year in a row that L has been hospitalized or had surgery in December or January. Doesn't the kid know that this is the roughest time of year financially? Oh well! We see the surgeon on December 13th and will set a date for surgery then. It should be an outpatient, home by lunch sort of thing. The doctor seems to think it will be pretty minor and not scar much. The picture above is of L sleeping, but it shows the growth on her eyelid. Please keep this all in your prayers. I know it's nothing major, but it's stressful to have anything done with your children! God bless!

Hi Becky!! I'm so glad you sent me this link! I love blogs and even better when it's someone I know.

I'll be praying for Leah's surgery. Even though it's "nothing big" it's still so hard when they are so little! I'll be praying for peace for you all!

I emailed a few pictures to Erin - there are a couple cute ones of the kids. She's supposed to forward them to ya!
