The latest scoop

Where has the last month gone? I cannot believe that Christmas is on Monday. As of last night, I think I have my shopping finished. We are waiting on several deliveries and then we should be done or at least I hope we are. I took L to the surgeon, Dr. Bloss, on Wednesday and we waited about 2 hours in the waiting room, amongst some of the worst people I've ever been in public with. We finally were called back to a room and within two or three minutes Dr. Bloss was in and back out again. The verdict? He doesn't even do surgery on eyes. He was really nice about it , but it was a really frustrating day. What's funny is when you set up the appointment they ask what it's for and I guess the receptionists didn't know. I know for a fact that I told them because it turns out my brother just found out he has the same tumor on his eyelid (weird, I know) and I am the one who called to set up his appointment too. Oh, well. We called down to the Medical Center and found a Pediatric Opthomologist who is going to see her on January 2nd. Nothing beats wasting a couple of weeks waiting on one appointment, just to make a new one. The tumor still is growing, but it doesn't seem to be as fast this week, so that is good. We will let you know when we find out more.

Also, I just wanted to share a sweet story with you. The other day L and I were out at my mom's house. L and her Uncle J.T. (7 years old) had been reading stories together and being real sweet. After I put L down for her nap, J.T. came in and said, "You know when L starts school, she's not going to have one boyfriend". I looked at him puzzled and he replied, "She's gonna have like a hundred". He is such a sweet kid and he really adores his little niece.
