The REST of the week

After an exhausting week, I slept in a little bit on Friday. I then fertilized the yard and put ant poison out. Other than that, I just kind of hung around the house. For dinner we met up with C, K and Cl at a new pizza joint. While we were eating, I received a phone call from my friends telling me they had some extra tickets to the Houston Aeros game for Saturday night. So after dinner, K and I went to pick them up and then over to T's house. J had already gotten him in bed, but needed to have someone at the house while he went back to the hospital. The girls stayed home with their daddies and we had a really good chance to just sit and visit. I think it was about 12:30 am when we got back to the house and the girls had just gone to sleep.

Saturday morning, I got up early to go take care of T. Once L woke up, I went back home to pick her up. She and T played all morning and then went down for their naps. I spent the day doing laundry and making plans back and forth for what we were going to do that night. My original plan was to go to the Aeros game with C, K and Cl and then stay at a hotel in Galveston so that we wouldn't have to wake up so early to go pick up M and LQ on Sunday. That way we could pick them up and play at the beach for a little while before coming home.

After changing plans a dozen times, trying to figure out what to do with the dogs (4 of them between the 2 couples), and a minor emotional breakdown, I made an executive decision that we would go to the game and come home. My mom offered to pick up M and LQ and I took her up on that.

Saturday we went to the game and had a great time. I love watching hockey games. They are so exciting. L thought it was pretty funny when they would "bonk the glass". There were six of us and 5 seats in each of our cars, so being the cheapy I am only left one option.

After the game, we came home and I was so tired I couldn't even stay awake to rock L. I threw her in bed with me and my intentions of moving her to her own bed when she fell asleep got lost in a dream. We were both out by 11:30 pm. Sunday she woke up at 11:00 am and I slept until 1:00 pm. Man, it felt so good. Since we had definitely missed any chance of making it to church, I took L to see Meet the Robinson. After that we came home for a nap. Today I took care of Cl for a couple hours and then went to lunch with K. It's been good to have some girl time again.
