By Friday we were starting to worry a little because we had only had one showing for since the new roof went on. Before this we had only had one day that we didn't have a showing, since putting the house on the market. So we prayed and prayed and prayed. Surely with the weekend ahead things would pick up. Well, the weekend came and went with only one showing. We did manage to order our appliances and carpet, which only added to the worry about selling this house.
Monday we had one showing during the day. Monday night we invited some friends over for dinner since things were slowing down. Fifteen minutes before they were to arrive, we got a call for a showing. We decided to meet our friends at a restaurant instead. Tuesday started out bright and early with a showing and by the time I got to work, there were several more scheduled for the day. We also had 3 offers put on the house Tuesday, all for the amount we were asking or higher. God is good!
The rest of the day and all day Wednesday we sat and griped about all the showings that were interrupting our day. We had at least 5 showings that day. I'm sure God is looking at us, shaking his head. We ask for showings and he sends them and we turn around and gripe.
We did accept one of the offers. It is a young, married couple and I think it will really work out well for them. The closing is set for August 17th, but we hope to move it up to the 13th. Anyway, we are so happy to have this step taken care of and be one step closer to being done. God has really had a hand in this whole process and it has been amazing to sit back (usually on pins and needles) and watch his plan unfold.

Congratulations! We know what it is like to have a house on the market. Our's in Spring took a year to sell. But God's timing is always perfect. We closed on the 16th and moved to Colorado on the 19th.
Yeah I am so excited for you! Now the fun begins! If you need anything let me know!
Awesome news! One step closer to being neighbors!
