Heartbeats

On Monday, we went for my first OBGYN appointment. It was a long appointment and they covered a lot of stuff. I had every swab, Pap, blood and urine test imaginable. We had an ultrasound done and everything looked great. We even heard the heartbeat. That amazed me. With L we didn't hear hers until I was 3 or 4 months along. This time I was right at 6 weeks and it was beating loud and strong. That is such a relief to hear. L got a kick out of it too. She kept saying that the baby was saying "shhh...shhh...shh..." because it was trying to sleep. I go back in 3 weeks for my next ultrasound. So far, so good.

Jayden has a way of "narrating" everything and telling us what everything/one is thinking. It might go something like this ... "Snickers is happy that we took her outside. She says 'Wow! I'm glad that Mom and Jayden took me outside because I had to pee really bad. Now I want to go inside and get a drink and play with Jayden.' And then I will go and play with her and she will say, "Gee, I like to play with Jayden and I love my ball.'"

So I can only imagine the narrations we will get when "I have a baby in my tummy." I'm sure every sound and feeling will be associated with what the baby is doing or thinking!!!
