This has been quite a week, to say the least.
Friday - I woke up feeling horribly sick. I took L to her 3 year old well check. She got one shot and did great. She cried for about 2 minutes, after the nurse left the room. She was finally 27 pounds, which pushed her into the 20th percentile for weight. That is by far the highest she's gotten. She was 37 1/2 inches tall, which was 50th percentile, I believe. Then, I went to the doctor's office to confirm the pregnancy (see: pee on stick - take 3) and pick up some papers for the insurance company. I felt bad the rest of the day and kept trying to pretend to feel better.
Saturday - I woke up at 11:45 am, feeling worse than I did on Friday. Did nothing all day long. Couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. I cried A LOT and wondered how in the world I let this happen again and how I was going to make it the next 8 months.
Sunday - Woke up feeling GREAT!!! I guess I had a 48 hour flu bug. Went to church, brunch and took a nap. That night, the great insomnia bug bit and hard. I couldn't sleep.
Monday - Worked at the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon all day. For those of you who don't know, I lost an awesome brother, Jorge, to MD in May of 2005. He would have been 24 on Monday.
Tuesday - Went to work. Worked around the house. Still couldn't sleep.
Wednesday - Called the doctor to see what sleeping pills I can take. Spent a good part of the day at the insurance office. Went to Tae Kwon Do and to run errands.
So here's the great part. We found out Friday that we have some extra money coming in that was unexpected. Today I found out that our insurance is going to cover 100% of my maternity bills, including the c-section (the bill for L's birth was over $100,000) and cover the baby for it's first year on my plan. I also enrolled L in Mother's Day Out starting next week. She is only going one day a week, but I think it will be great for her. We went to see the school today and although she was hesitant, I think she will be just fine.
Now, I am exhausted. I think my insomnia is catching up with me. Maybe I will be able to sleep tonight.
All in all, the blessings are pouring right now. I need to remember to save some for a rainy day. God has been SO incredibly good to us. We are truly blessed. That being said, I am ready for some uneventful normalcy.

Congratulations!!! That is awesome news! Not that you were feeling sick : ) but about the little one on the way!
Hats off to you guys and the One up above, it seems like right in the midst of "hecticdom" (totally made up word)you guys made a baby! I am sure you guys are more amazed than I am. Anyway, we will be praying for you guys and for your pregnancy.
Woohoo! Gotta love that unexpected extra money. I think that's the whole reason I love checking the mail; that random refund check or, you know, someone just decides we need a little extra spending money. (That second one was just wishful thinking on my part. Never happens.)
And what a relief that you're going to be entirely covered. One less thing to worry about. That's awesome!
