The End of November

Well, time has once again gotten away from me. Sorry for the lack of updates.....again. I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Things have been good around here. No sickness since L's last ear infections. I think we are going on two weeks now. Yay!

Last week, we finally had tile put in the breakfast room, laundry room, half bath and kitchen. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have all of the concrete floor covered, finally. Now I need a new excuse for not cooking.

I finally hit my second trimester and feel like I'm back to my old self again. Or at least kind of. I hit the big 16 week mark yesterday. The morning sickness is getting less frequent and I have a LOT more energy. I actually cleaned house, with G's help, and have made the beds the last few days. Quite a feat for pregnant me. I love the second trimester and the relief of the first trimester blues, however it scares me. I know this sounds silly, but I don't feel pregnant any more. I have lost somewhere between 12 and 14 pounds since finding out we were expecting. So my clothes don't fit, but I don't want to buy maternity clothes yet, in case I balloon here soon. The baggy pants, lack of nausea, friendly, smiling me, makes me worry something is wrong with the pregnancy. I vaguely remember feeling this way when I was pregnant before, but I will be thrilled to go to my next appointment and hear that all is well.

Wednesday we had a nice family day for my birthday. L and I went and had lunch with one of my friends, Natalie. Then G, L and I went and saw Enchanted and then hung out with some friends. It was a great day.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got to spend some quality time with both of our families. It was a very relaxing day. Friday, my sister-in-law, Lisa, and I went and did some shopping. I did NOT brave the 3 o'clock morning rush this year, but rather slept in until 10 and then made the rounds. Surprisingly, we got just about everything on our list. Friday evening, we decorated the house for Christmas. We decided to wait a week on getting a tree since Thanksgiving was early this year.

Today, L and I had a great time playing with my cousin Julie and her little girl Annie. It had been WAY too long since we had seen them and we both enjoyed their visit. We also have some more big news.

Micah and Lisa are expecting!!! Lisa is now 10 weeks along and they even heard a heartbeat at their last visit. I am so thrilled that we will get to share this pregnancy and have baby cousins so close together.

Today I found out that Julie and her husband, Steve, are also 10 weeks along and that my other cousin and his wife, Rick and Gia, are about 22 weeks along.

Out of us five cousins, all born one year apart, we are having 4 babies in a 2 month span. I just think that is too cool!

We just got home from taking L to see The Nutcracker. She loved it. She had so much fun dancing along with the dancers (from our seats). Luckily, it wasn't sold out so she had room to perform. I am sure she will be begging for ballet classes soon enough. I think I need to head off to bed. We have had way too many late nights in a row and early service is going to get the best of me in the morning.
