Day 3 - EPCOT Future Worlds

This is Mommy, typing on Daddy-O's account again. It is very late and I feel really lousy, so this is just a quick post before I go to bed and forget everything.

Today we went to the Future Worlds section of EPCOT. We started the day on Test Track which Sweet Pea LOVED. She immediately went again with Daddy-O. Daddy-O and Sweet Pea then rode on Soarin', a hang gliding simulator. Sweet Pea wasn't too sure about it, but did go again with Mommy and decided she did indeed like it. I think she was too worried her shoes would fall off the first time.
Next we headed over to The Seas. We rode the Nemo ride, which was a HUGE hit with both of the girls, and looked around at the aquariums. There was no line, but they wouldn't let us stay on for a second turn. I am sure we will be back to ride it again though.

After that we headed over to Innoventions, a hands on area with the latest and greatest things in technology. The girls and Daddy-O starred in a video game, which we will post the link to when we get it, while Mommy test drove a Segway. A funny side note - After watching the video on how to maneuver a Segway we headed out to the test site. Sweet Pea saw me and started to wave so I waved back. While I was waving and not watching where I was going (while still on foot) I plowed over all the safety cones outlining the track. It was pretty funny. Luckily I was a little less klutzy on the Segway. We then had a private photo shoot with Mickey and Pluto. It was very nice to be the only ones in the room and to be able to take all the time we wanted. At one point, Peanut crawled away, being followed by Mickey and Pluto, crawling on all fours. It was VERY cute.

Sweet Pea hadn't had her fill of characters yet, so we went to another photo area. Peanut was very funny, wanting nothing to do with the characters, except for Mickey. She kissed him on the nose no less than 50 times. Mickey kept coming back for more until they told him to stop because the line was getting so backed up. Sweet Pea was her usual, photogenic self. We didn't get very many good shots, but do have a photo pass and will be getting all of the professional pictures we have had made this week. I think as of today (2 days in) there were 89 pictures on it. WOW!!! I think at this point each girl has at least 4 Mickey autographs in their books. I guess it never gets old.

By then even Sweet Pea needed a nap. Both little girls were very tired today and I can't blame them. I was the last to get this head cold, so while Daddy-O and the girls have recovered from there gunk last week, I've got it full force this week. I kept "suggesting" we call it an early day, but I think Daddy-O has become quite the Disney monster and was giving me a taste of my own usual medicine. Poor Sweet Pea gets the best and worst of both worlds. Disney has a wonderful thing called Parent Pass, where one parent can ride while one waits with the smaller children. Then you switch spots so that the second parent doesn't have to wait in the long line. You both get to ride for one wait time. On the Parent Pass, Sweet Pea can ride both times, so while one of us waits and has a chance to rest with Peanut, Sweet Pea is doing everything twice. No wonder why she is pooped.
While the girls slept, Daddy-O and I took turns riding Mission Space, a rocket simulator. It was my first time on it and I really enjoyed it. The simulation of the G-Forces is pretty neat. By then, Sweet Pea was awake and requesting to come home. It is amazing the difference between going through the park with one kid versus two. Some of it is that Peanut is still a baby and has to stop to nurse, etc., but we are definitely moving at a different pace. We headed on back to the hotel and had dinner. Even leaving the park early it was still 9 o'clock by the time we got to the room. Since we have a cold front and rain coming in, we decided to let the girls swim for a few minutes before getting to bed.

The following picture we will have 10 of by the time we leave Florida. Our hotel is themed after different movies and we are staying in the 101 Dalmatian section. They have enormous props throughout and every...single....day, Sweet Pea asks to have her picture taken in the television set. It is pretty cute though.
Well, I have got to get to bed. Hopefully we will be better rested and feeling better tomorrow. I know that Daddy-O (at least) would REALLY appreciate a less grumpy Mommy. Tomorrow is Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) and a good chance of rain, with a cold front. Yikes!

Wow, sounds like you are all having loads of fun. Becky, your little side note cracked me up. It totally sounds like something I would do. I think I just missed a skype call from y'all. I tried to call back but I do not have you account listed under contacts and it is beyond me to figure it out. I also tried to IM Glenn, but I do not have his email. Oh well, hope you all are doing great and feeling well.
